About the Reticulated Python

The longest snake in the world, confirmed at 7.67 meters. Excellent swimmers and can be found far out at sea. Despite their size, they are ambush hunters. Constriction kills by cardiac arrest, not suffocation. Females can lay up to 100 eggs and coil around them for incubation. Have heat-sensing pits along their jaw. Named for the reticulated (net-like) pattern on their skin.
