About the Rhinoceros Viper
One of the most spectacularly patterned snakes, with geometric shapes in blue, red, yellow, and purple. Named for the horn-like scales on their nose. Despite their beautiful appearance, their venom is highly toxic. Slow-moving ambush predators. Their geometric pattern breaks up their outline in forest shadows. One of the few snakes where the pattern varies dramatically between individuals.
