About the Mojave Rattlesnake

A rattlesnake of the deserts of the southwestern US and central Mexico, often with a greenish tint that earns it the nickname Mojave green. Many populations carry Mojave toxin, a potent neurotoxin, making it one of the most dangerous rattlesnakes in North America. Other populations have mainly hemotoxic venom. The white rings on its tail are usually wider than the black ones, a clue for telling it from the Western Diamondback.
