About the Hairy Bush Viper
Famous for its extremely keeled, bristly scales, which give it a hairy or feathery appearance unique among snakes. Lives in forests of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It spends much of its time in vegetation, basking on flowers and leaves. Its venom is hemotoxic and can cause serious bleeding. Rarely encountered in the wild.
