About the Gaboon Viper
Have the longest fangs of any snake — up to 5 cm. Also deliver the largest volume of venom per bite. Despite this, they are docile and slow-moving, preferring to ambush prey from leaf litter. Their geometric pattern is among the best camouflage in the animal kingdom. Their triangular head is wider than their neck. They give birth to live young.
