About the Emerald Tree Boa
Stunning bright green with white zigzag pattern. Juveniles are born red or orange, gradually turning green over their first year. Their distinctive coiled resting posture on branches is iconic. Heat-sensing pits along their jaw. Long teeth help them catch birds in flight through foliage. Nocturnal hunters. Often confused with the Green Tree Python of Australia — they look nearly identical despite being unrelated.
