About the Boa Constrictor

One of the most well-known snakes. Give birth to live young — up to 64 at once. Have vestigial pelvic spurs (remnants of ancestral legs). Their constriction kills by disrupting blood circulation, not suffocation. Can go weeks or months between meals. Females are significantly larger than males. Heat-sensing pits help them hunt in the dark. Can live 30+ years.
