About the Yellow-bellied Sea Snake

One of the most widely distributed reptiles, found across the tropical Pacific and Indian Oceans. Entirely pelagic — they never come to land. Their tail is paddle-shaped for swimming. Can absorb oxygen through their skin, allowing longer dives. Surprisingly, they cannot crawl on land at all. Often found in aggregations of thousands. Their venom is extremely potent but bites are rare.
