King Cobra

About the King Cobra

The longest venomous snake in the world, reaching 5.5 meters. They can raise one-third of their body off the ground — eye level with an adult human. Despite their fearsome reputation, they try to avoid humans and deliver dry bites (without venom) as warnings. They are the only snakes that build nests for their eggs. A single bite has enough venom to kill an elephant. In Southeast Asia, they are revered and featured in many cultural traditions.
