About the Tiger Snake

Among the most venomous snakes in Australia (which is saying something). Their venom contains a potent myotoxin that destroys muscle tissue. Banded like a tiger, though some populations are unbanded. Often found near water where they hunt frogs. Give birth to live young — up to 30 at once. Populations vary significantly in appearance across their range.
