About the Rough Green Snake
A slender, bright green snake that lives in shrubs and vines, where it is almost invisible among leaves. Unlike most snakes it feeds mainly on insects such as crickets, grasshoppers, and caterpillars. It is gentle and rarely bites. After death its green color quickly turns blue. It sways gently in the breeze to mimic moving vegetation. Sensitive to pesticides.
