About the Mozambique Spitting Cobra

One of the most dangerous snakes in Africa, able to spit venom accurately at the eyes of a threat from a distance of a few meters. Venom in the eyes causes intense pain and can lead to blindness. Bites cause severe local tissue damage. It is nervous and quick to spit but rarely bites. Often active at night and found near homes. Also known as the mfezi.
