About the Taipan (Central Ranges)
Discovered only in 2007 — one of the most recently described taipan species. Their discovery was accidental, found during a wildlife survey. Very little is known about their behavior and ecology. Their range is extremely remote. Likely as venomous as other taipans. One of the most significant Australian snake discoveries in decades.
