About the Sea Krait (Banded)
Semi-aquatic — they hunt in the ocean but return to land to digest, mate, and lay eggs. Their venom is 10x more toxic than a cobra. Despite this, they are docile and rarely bite humans. Their tail is paddle-shaped for swimming. Can dive to 60 meters and stay underwater for 2 hours. They lay eggs on land, unlike true sea snakes which give birth at sea.
